Tales of the Bear Empty
PostSubject: Tales of the Bear   Tales of the Bear EmptyMon Jan 18, 2010 7:37 pm

''Hello and welcome to my videolog. As a scientist, it is prudent that we try and capture as much evidence and emotions as possible, so that our research may flourish...I...I do not know if this will work for me, but I will try.''

A shaven, younger Gregory looked into the camera with his jade green eyes. He looked if everything was alright, in place, and if the capture process was still going on. He didn't seem to have much of an accent, let alone any eccentric behaviour.

''Soon, we will start the Genesis project. I have yet need to understand this, I have many questions. They have asked my help in developing a cure against cancer. I personally think cancer cannot be cured for life with some medicine, as it is an error in cellular development that causes it. It's not something you can remove. However, I was not told how they were going to cure it, I was only ask to run some tests, knowing fully well that my results effect the entire process. I seem to be quite competent i what I do, but what I do...Is not who I am. My work here at the department on the 24th floor has been structured, punctual, exact and rather important, but it has no value to me. I would rather work on something like applied sciences. I can only regret that lk about it during a videolog. I hardly talk, and even less to my colleagues.''

''..I will update this log with my own feelings and assumptions about the Genesis Project. Whatever it is though, it seems big. One can only wonder what the future will hold.''

''Videolog number 8, 0500 hours ...Project Genesis.''

The camera clicked and showed doctor Karkarov. He seemed really tired, exhausted, but he seemed to have a weak smile.

''We had some very interesting company today. Our man of the hour, Judah Marshall. And he asked for me. Me! Of all people. He's a very kind, yet passionate man. In that instance, I knew that even if I had doubt on this project, I would serve him. Mister Marshall seems to have a great respect for true knowledge, and my latest calculations on the project has made him aware of my apparant skills. He wanted to know my name, how I got to my calculations and in the end, he told me that he was looking forward to seeing more of my work, and well...He was going to make sure my potential was going to be used to it's fullest. I can only be happy with this.''

Gregory seemed thrilled that his leader had shown confidence, removing even Gregory from his not-talking-much state of mind. Gregory's colleagues weren't too fond of it, but it proved Gregory one thing. A big mouth isn't alyou need to be recognised. He had done it with hard work, just like his Russian pride learned him to.

''We are going to test the first formula's tomorrow. Even if in this stage, the serum seems perfect and well, I would not mind participating. There isn't much to learn from lab rats. These creatures are valuable, but they do not posses the gene that has named this project. The Genesis Gene is crucial in this. I do wonder though. Due to the dense formula, the components and the way of preparation, I say it would activate the gene more then it would make it reside. If this gene is accumulating a error in cellular reproduction, then it would be wise to make it dormant, so that cancer would not get a chance, instead of an activated gene.''

Yawning with his hand in front of his mouth, the doctor looked behind him, but there was no one there.

''It is time for me to get some rest, tomorrow is a very important day.
