the infirmary

(new additional character, i am just going to move her around and set her character up in this setting. Here is the link to her character information so that you can get an idea of her abilities and personality and so on. ~link~ )

Sky moved about the beds with her shoes clicking on the wooden floor, healing wounds and/or checking bandages, administering medications and generally taking care of her patients. She sang softly in her sweet voice as she moved about. There where not a lot of patients, only a few. Some had come in with injuries sustained from training or missions. Some had colds, sever or mild, that simply wanted some medicine or company. To Sky it didn't matter. She used her abilities to heal and comfort. This was what she loved to do and would not have it any other way. It was no secret. She loved it when she had patients to care for, but she also loved it when she didn't because that meant that everyone was healthy.

Someone moaned over in the corner bed and she rushed over to see what the matter was.

Radiant and the arms-man that i had roped into helping me, helped me into the infirmary. Sky was tending one of the agent when we came in. She looked up as she felt how presence and with one look at me she finished what she was doing and came to order Radiant and the unknown arms-man to put me on one of the beds. After they did she told them to leave. Radiant didn't look happy about that but he didn't argue. Saying good bye he left to do some errands and find food.
Sky looked over me with a practiced eye and began some treatments. My leg and some of my other injuries had already began to heal but she assisted as best as she could... which was a lot really. As sky treated me, we talked and i cracked jokes in my usual style. When Sky was done i lay down and fell asleep.

I was kind of astonished when Katsa dragged me inside the building, helping me passed security... Once we entered the infirmary a nurse ordered me and radiant to put Katsa on a bed, afterwards me and radiant were ordered to leave... As the guards pointed out I was Katsa's responsibility... Not knowing what to do I objected against the nurse... "I can't leave... it'll cost Katsa's head and make everything you do useless..." I said with a smile. The nurse muttered something like ok and sit down over there before starting to tend to Katsa. I sat down in a corner not wanting to cause Katsa any trouble at this point and waited... seeing her fall asleep once the nurse is gone... Darn it... this is gonna take a whole lot longer then intended...

I didn't know how long i had been asleep for but it felt like a year. My head felt heavy and foggy and all in all i felt sort of weak but other then that i felt ok. I could feel that my injuries where healed so that was a plus. As i lay there taking an invantory of my injuries (or lack there of) i realized that i could hear someone else breathing near me. It sounded like a man and he was sitting to my right. Slowly i opened my eyes and turned my head. I was expecting Radiant but the guy sitting next to me was John. OK, how did he get in here? i thought sluggishly throught the fug in my brain. I frowned in confusion and irritation. I hatted being confused.

As I sat there I waited... Contemplating my plans... not liking I was inside this building trapped, no place to go. Anyone could walk in here with a board and a piece of paper with my head on it... Darn it didn't like this... didn't like this at all... after dozing off a bit I heard something, after looking up I saw Katsa opened her eye's "Ok... I'm so happy your awake... now I might actually be able to get out of here" After noticing her frown I looked down, thinking she might have been expecting that Krious guy... "Are you feeling any better?" I finally asked, this must seem really weird... a resistance guy asking for the health of a government agent... I shook my head at the thought...

he wants to get out... why the hell did he come in anyway? i sighed and began to sit up and finding that a lot of my strength had come back but not all of it. i felt almost... normal. Ga!! i hate normal.

"Are you feeling any better?" he asked. finally i looked at him straight on. He shook his head in a bemused sort of way.

raising an eyebrow at him is said. "yeah, i'm feeling a lot better. How long have a been out? I looked him up and down and frowned again "not that i don't appreciate the company but, why are you here.? You aren't part of the government so i am surprised you where even aloud in the building. mind explaining?... also, where Radiant? i rubbed my eyes and stretched. feels like i have been lying that a while.

"An hour or three... you know they really don't build these room for visitors... You don't remember? I came in to meet dr gregory...." I wonder how much she remembered... seeing what she said she must have blacked out right around the time I asked for gregory... "Somehow you dragged me passed the guards... yelling at them... life and death... all sorts of things... think you threatened one to get fired at one point... You don't remember all that? and I think radiant ran off filling out a report about what got you hurt in the first place... He left pretty quickly..." I was still a bit amazed by how she dragged me passed the guards... guess having a certain status and a mean tongue you can get very far...

i grinned. "ahhh, yes that sounds like me and no i don't remember that. Its amazing what a reputation can get you, especially one that slightly frightening." i said gleefully. i looked at John again and frowned, perplexed "so... what do you intend to do now?"

"I was hoping to meet this Dr gregory... or at least get out of here, I don't really like tight white spaces... and I feared getting shot without you escorting me..." I said while playing with a small piece of paper I found somewhere... once I stopped talking and took my gaze from Katsa to look at the piece of paper again I found I folded it into a frog... whatta... how did I do that?

i raised an eye brow at his words as well as his reaction to finding that he was folding a piece of paper into a frog. i wouldn't have thought that that was shocking but oh well.

"why do you want to meet Dr Gregory? He's weird. i said. He really was an odd guy but that didn't mean that i didn't like him. I mean, i'm weird to. "As for the getting shot thing, well, that's probably true. People here don't take kindly to unknown outsiders. i grinned at him and waited for his response.

"I don't mind weird..." I said with a smile I wasn't sure I should tell the truth, after all maybe it widely know in the government, but if that was the case why was I let in...? After going over all the possibility's I decided being honest would be best... doesn't mean I have to tell her everything though... "Well... to keep it short, recently I woke up with memory loss and I have reason to believe Dr Gregory has something to do with it..."

I raised my eyebrows in utter shock and then started laughing. I tried to stop but it took me a minute or two and by the end of it a few of people where staring. i was lying on the bed with tears in my eyes so I sat up slowly wiping the tears from my eyes to find John was glaring at me, not entirely impressed with my hysterics.

i calmed down and said "sorry sorry. I really am. It's just, well, it sounds like something that would happen as a result of one of his 'experiment'. God knows, it probably was his fault. However, I'm not sure about taking you to the deeper levels of our little building here. I am sympathetic to you plight but i am not the naive smiley fool that so many people think i am. How do i know you are telling the truth and not a resistance member trying to infiltrate our security?" i was sitting on the edge of the bed now with my head cupped in my hands. I was now very serious. "Now, if you really want to meet him i could arrange a meeting with him at some other place. would that work with you? just tell me when and where and i will tell him" I smiled at him pleasantly.

I was a bit shocked from Katsa laughing... I set up my big pair of eyes and just sat there, not knowing what to do. Once she started talking I began to wonder what his 'experiments' are like... his fault...? I didn't show my curiosity about the experiments, while totally understanding why she can't let me in further... "Well to tell you the truth I'm surprised I got this far... I suppose you never will know for sure whether I'm a resistance member... unless I bring you its head" After thinking it through I decided it didn't really matter where I'd meet the doc... as long as It wasn't some dark alley somewhere where its easy to ambush me... "Just name the time and place..."

i nodded. "ok, you have a mobile or something? i well send you a text message with the where and when of then meeting when i have spoken to him. that ok with you? Also, want me to come or would you rather meet with him alone?" i said and stood up with the the help of my crutches. "if that is alright, then i will walk you to the door so there isn't any trouble and then i will go find the elusive Dr Gregory."

"Yes I do..." Well I got a fully awesome bike with an integrated AI system able to call, receive calls, send txt's and who knows what else... but saying that would raise some eyebrows I'd imagine... I fished up a pen from my pocket and wrote down the number on the paper shaped like a frog. After looking over the number a second time to confirm it was the right one I gave the frog to Katsa.

I smiled as i took the frog form John and then shoved it into my pocket. "right then, lets go shall we? i said and the headed for the door. before we could leave, sky insisted that she do a once over to see how my injuries had gone. all my cuts and bruises had healed thanks to her healing abilities. my ribs had turned out only to be bruised so they where alright too. As my leg had in fact been broken, it would take longer to heal hence the crutches. Once she was done i asked her too tell Radiant should he come looking for me that i had gone to Dr Gregory's lab. Finally we where on our way. We walked in silence until we reached the entrance. once there and before we said our final good byes i said "thanks for the number but you didn't answer one of my question. can i come to the meeting with you and Gregory or would you rather i didn't? either way is fine with me.

As we walked back to the entrance I held open every door, being a real gentle man for the now crutched Katsa. Once we hit the entrance she spoke, making me wonder how I could have missed that question... guess my head still doesn't function as it should... I would just ask gregory what he knows about it right? I'm almost positive they only used his method, that it wasn't gregory himself so would I mind her being around? after thinking about it for a few seconds I say with a smile "No I wouldn't mind you coming, although I'd probably bring a wheelchair instead of those crutches..."

i chuckled and grinned at him. "no way, besides, if we make the meeting in a day or two my leg will be fine. Sky has healed the break, its just weaker then usual. Thanks for worrying though." i held out my hand to shake and then said goodbye. "i will text you when we have a date and time, k?"

I shook her hand goodbye "Its a date then!" I said to joke a little... before walking off back to my bike wondering what I'll do next...

I smiled and watched as John went to find his bike. once he was out of my sight i turned and began my search for the elusive Dr Gregory. It didn't take long, a second or two, to think of his labs. if he was anywhere, he was there. I set off in that direction.
