Emma's Room

"She?" Shrap said, he had not even though who, or what had caused the wound. He stood and then picked up his M16.
"So who did this to Emma?" He asked, feeling quite stupid.

Whoever did this to her, will get a bullet bigger then the size of my thumb in her head. He thought.
He put a new magazine into the gun and it made a satisfying click. He followed up the procedure of reloading and placed it down on the table, he pulled out his pistol and readied it.

"Relax. I said I'll handle this. You stay here and watch the Lady. Just in case she decides to come back. And for safety reasons, you do need to know who did this, or else, you may not shoot her."

He laughed a bit as he pulled the hair over the wound on his own neck back and pointed to the two holes from Alyss's bite. With a laugh he shrugged it off. All he could focus on now, was payback.

"Long story, all you need to know is that it was Alyss. If she comes back, which I doubt she will, Shoot to Kill."

He turned and left the room, heading towards the courtyard. He could only hope that she'd decided to hang around and try to spy out a bit more, but, the changes were microscopic.

Emma slowly came back out of the embrace of unconsciousness. The first thing she noticed in her sleep hazed state was a pounding headache, followed soon after by a throbbing throat. Either she must of been on one hell of a bender last night, or some crazy shit must of happened.

Gradually images and memories flowed back into her mind. Emma sighed mentally as she remembered that, unluckily for her, it turns out it was the crazy shit option that had happened.

Weakly Emma let her eyes flutter open, only to hurriedly bring them into a tight squint. i swear my lights were never this bright before She groaned mentally, contemplating whether she had enough strength to flip her arm up to cover her eyes. She didn't so she settled for tilting her head slightly to the left much to the protest of her neck.

"Fucking vampires." She muttered angrily, her voice barely loud enough to be considered a whisper.

It was only then that Emma realized that the blood flow from her neck was no longer being stopped by a pillow, but rather an expertly applied series of bandages. Gritting her teeth Emma lifted her head and spied Shrapnel standing by the table, fiddling with his guns. She smirked and let her head fall again. Should of known Rambo over there would know first aid She thought, the idea that she may be slightly delirious crossing her mind. She could just imagine what Matt would have to say about this. If she wasn't already so weak he'd probably slap her silly scolding her for letting things get so out of control that she got this badly hurt. Sometimes having an older brother really did have it's downsides.

Shrap heard her mutter something, though he didn't hear what.
He put down his pistol and walked to Emma, kneeling by her bed.
You okay? Should I go get a doc'? Shrap asked, concerned. He noted his concerned voice and quickly changed it.
His normal 'not very deep' voice was back, with no emotion as always.
Should we go hunt your attacker? He asked.

Emma's eyes fluttered open again when Shrap's voice suddenly appeared right beside her head. She hadn't even realized she was drifting back off to sleep! Nevertheless, Emma took a deep breath to wake her up then turned her attention to Shrap's somewhat overly anxious face.

"Nah, i'm ok.... Could go for some water.... or pain killers.... maybe even a blood transfusion...." Emma rasped out. She wasn't really thinking about what she was saying, her mind still wasn't working properly. As it was, that small amount of talking had sent her throbbing throat into overdrive. For the first time in her life, Emma thought she might know how it felt to get burned. Not nice at all.

Shrap's second statement drifted through the fog of Emma's brain rather slowly compared to his first, but when it did, Emma did not hesitate about her answer.

"No. She's probably talking to Judah right now. We'll have our chance soon, but not now." Emma said, her frustration at the truth of this statement, masked by her dry, rasping voice.

Ever since Emma had woken up from her comatose sleep, the fog of sleep in her brain had slowly been fading. The sleep of her body however, not so much. Emma turned her gaze into Shrap's eyes. They had a raid they had to do and these guys would be killed in seconds if she wasn't there with them.

"You wouldn't happen to have a 50 times stronger than normal coffee on you do ya?" Emma asked. Shrap was a bright guy, he'd figure out what she was really asking for.

"Nah, i'm ok.... Could go for some water.... or pain killers.... maybe even a blood transfusion...." Emma said,
Issac searched his suit for some painkillers, he found a bottle of them and eventually found a new water bottle. He gave them to Emma.
The water might taste a little like dirt, but otherwise its fine. He said with a smile.
Emma wanted something stronger then coffee, so Shrap searched his backpack.
Ah, here it is. Shrap said, holding up a metal bottle, it was quite small, a clear red liquid that looked like wine. But it is stronger then coffee.
Shrap stood up and grabbed a nearby chair, his M16 close to the bed, if anyone wanted Emma dead. They would find nothing more then their dead body.

Emma smiled when Shrap handed her his water. He was a nice guy, a bit quirky and way to into his Gilly suits, but nice. When he pulled out a little vial of something that looked like wine, Emma realized it was probably time to stop staring at the many subtly different colors of his suit, and sit up and get going again.... That was easier thought than done.

Ever so slowly, Emma took a deep breath and weakly levered herself up onto her right elbow. She was too out of it to try and make for the helpful support of the wall at the head of her bed, so instead she opted for just staying like this on her elbow.

Gratefully Emma took a sig of Shrap's water. He had been right. It did taste like dirt. Obviously he was one of the Resistance sentinels outside. Why else would he be crawling around on his stomach in the dirt? Wait, no, i dont want to go there. Emma thought quickly, grateful that sleep still fogged her brain enough for her to stop her train of thought from reaching an end point she'd really rather not consider. Shrap didn't seem like that kind of guy anyways.

Emma distracted herself from her distracted and rambling thoughts by quickly sculling the contents of the little vial. Instantly she felt fire running through her veins, fire in this case not being literally flames and the like, but rather adrenaline. It was as though she'd never had that encounter with Alyss. She felt full of energy and power.

Emma sat up fully on the bed and turned her gaze onto Shrap. No longer were her eyes clouded over with sleep. Now they burned with internal flames, yet were icily set with determination.

"Find electro boy. We're leaving. Now." She ordered, her hair swirling of it's own accord. Regally Emma stood and strode from the room. Whilst Shrap was finding shocky, she had to contact the supers for hire.

Emma went out of the room, and Shrap was going to follow, but his rifle fell on the floor somehow. The rifle fell on the floor with a loud bang.
Oh crap! He said, he quickly picked up his rifle and cleaned it a bit. He frowned. His rifle was dirty once again, the mission hasn't even started yet. He facepalmed and cleaned it some more,
Well, while im here, i might as well clean everything else too... he said quietly, he pulled out his pistol, grabbed his M16, he pulled out a few landmines he was going to use for the mission and began tinkering with his 'toys'.

Emma strode down the halls of the Resistance. She knew the adrenaline in her veins would not last forever and most likely when she came down she'd be far worse for wear than she had been beforehand. Definitely not going to be fun. That meant that they should get this raid over and done with as soon as possible. the last thing her team needed right now was for her to fall into a coma on them.

Emma slipped her hand into the control for her bedroom doors. Superheated air still pulsed around her and fire sill flowed through her blood so she didn't need to do anything to raise her temperature, as it was she was already far hotter than what the scanner required.

The doors slid open immediately at her touch revealing Shrap cleaning his guns. Again.

"Time to go." Emma called with a slight smile before turning and striding back towards the HQ exit. She had no doubt Shrap would be right on her heels.

Finally they were ready. The raid was about to begin!

Emma walked into the room and said the Raid was going to launch.
Shrap lightened up and gathered his weapons. He put his sniper rifle on his shoulder and held his M16. He smiled, his first mission in the Resistance. Nice.
Emma walked away towards the exit and Shrap followed happily.

Um, Ma'am, is there any new Intel? He said.

He holstered his M16 and put on a Ski Mask, then his hood.
