New Assignment (Sean)

Anna drove down the street, heading for the most recent place someone that was an enemy to the government was last seen in. She was told as she walked out the door to the office where she got her assignment to be very careful with this guy for he was different then the average human. Anna had simply nodded her head and went to prepare herself. She wasn't going to be intimated by him. She was rather kind of excited for this assignment actually. To her, it was a chance to prove to herself and her peers how good she could be.

A stoplight changed to red as she was coming up to it. At the line, she stopped by lightly pressing the brake pedal, making the car slow down to a crawl before reaching the line. Some pedestrians crossed the street quickly to not have the crosswalk light turn back to 'don't walk' as they were in the middle of the street. Anna kept her eye open, looking at all of them. She was closing in on the area he was last seen in. As the light turn green, and she didn't see him, Anna took her foot off the brake and let the car shift forward a little before lightly pressing her foot on the gas.

One block passed by and she turned left and easily found a place for her car. That was a miracle in any city, and because of which, she smiled to herself and got out of her car. Anna then started to walk around, pulling out the picture that was given to her. She figured walking around while looking for him and a pathway to easily escape back to her car would be the best plan. The street she was on wasn't isolated at all but it wasn't a main street either. Maybe it was just the right place to park for her. Although witnesses weren't the best to have around. She shrugged her shoulders thinking she would just lead whoever may chase her into a different direction from all the innocents.

Night had just fallen as Sean headed out of the HQ on his own patrol mission. This responsibility hadn't really been asked of him, but the 18 year old saw it as his duty to protect those he cares about. Since his recent mother's death, these 12 and their loyal fighter's was all he had left to call family. There was no way in hell he would ever think Harlan as such, no matter how much the scum tried to remind him. So as to ensure his friends safety and to further protect their hideout, Sean took the initiative of being the group's sentinel.

Usually sneaking out at night, Ruse chose to wear all dark attire from jeans to shirt to boots as well as a digital watch on his right arm. Hidden in pockets and shoes were all his small knives he always had on hand just in case it was needed. Now to those who were aware of his powers, his use of plainer weapons would seem pointless. Sean (aka Stratagem by the Gov) had the multi useful gift of mind control and illusion, far more sufficient than any knife could ever do, right? Well, that might be true to a point. The super did have power at his fingertips, but oddly enough he hates it. The only time he ever uses it is if A) he’s pissed B) it’s my accident C) if its truly needed or required. Overall he feels they were forced upon him by the Government and act as a cheat in everything they accomplish. Occasionally he sees purpose in it, but he fears if he begins to really enjoy it, it would be a betrayal to his mother as well as make him a monster…So instead, he tries to use his talent sparingly….

Turning down one of the side streets, McIntyre headed across on of the parking lots as casually as possible, hands in his pockets as he headed closer to the center of town. It was then an unwanted flash of a government badge crossed his mind’s eye as he sensed a presence. This was yet another example of how naturally his powers seem to take over, though this was a time he wouldn’t mind. Pausing, he looked in all directions for another figure as he expertly grasped one of his blades just in case…

Anna looked around more, heading down different streets. She avoided alleyways. Never did like them and didn't want to get herself surrounded by a gang that might be in there. As Anna walked on and tried to be inconspicuous as best she could, she looked at all the faces that walked past her and were on the other side of the street. With only one chance to get praised on by the government, she didn't want to ruin her chances by screwing up now.

The sky was getting darker and the streetlights were turned on. Anna was thinking of giving up the search for the day. Seems like it was a long time, about a few hours that she was searching. Her chances were going down now that day one of her job was basically over. Maybe if she had a partner it could be easier to find this guy. That way she could cover more ground in less time.

Heading back to her car, Anna looked around a little more. She wasn't trying to caused trouble but now with her chances down, she wanted to find this guy quickly so that she could actually feel accomplish of herself at the very least. The light of a street lamp made it easier for her to spot someone that seemed to resemble the guy that was in the picture.

Anna opened the hood of her car and pretended to try to fix her car. Closing the hood again would delay her but it wouldn't matter if she knocked this guy out quickly. "Excuse me." She said to him. "Could you help me with my car?"
